Fresh from the demolished building itself… we have rescued and reclaimed our newest product we are calling our “Jordan Marsh Pavers.”
Jordan Marsh, a New England based department store chain dates back to the 1860’s. Some of you might know that Jordan Marsh Co. has now become Macy’s, the seller of a wide variety of merchandise. These products include clothing, furniture and houseware.
It is not what is inside we are excited about capturing but what’s on the outside that stretched across the bottom half of the buildings. This was a signature look for many of the Macy’s buildings including the 50 year old Bedford, NH outlet.
The granite wall panel design was made up of beautiful squares and rectangular pieces with earthy tone colors. We intend to market this colorful granite veneer not only for use in veneer applications but as a wide variety of paving applications such as in walkways, patios and in courtyards. Complete driveways and in motor courts… this granite is just perfect.
Wouldn’t the two original operatives of the Jordan Marsh Empire have been intrigued by Olde New England Granite’s rescue and repurposing activities? We suspect that they would be at least with the granite veneer that was used… with no drill holes or drill marks… they would probably say that this granite veneer is perfect.
