Early 1st Generation Granite Curbstone Reclaimed from a Historic Park
… And you thought Philadelphia was only known for its sports teams, Freedom Bell and of course, its world famous Philly cheese steak sandwiches. Well… they will all have to move over and make room on this list for Philadelphia’s antique granite curbing. That’s right folks!
This foot-worn granite was removed from the outer perimeter of a very old park in a historic part of Philadelphia. As best as we can tell, this 8″ 1 generation curbing dates back to the Pre-Civil War Era.
- Several hundred linear feet available – all from the same road project
- Most pieces are premium step quality
- Mostly longer lengths – between 7′-12′ x widths up to 2′
- Either the beautiful 8″ hand tooled curbstone tops or the fabulous 8″-11″ hand split curbstone bottoms will make a great riser for your steps
- All curbing is super colorful with awesome patina
- Perfect to use as antique steps or for an antique fireplace hearth
- Some surfaces show the tool marks – some don’t.
