Reclaimed Granite Products Inventory Update – June 2019
Specialty Curbing
In this edition of our Olde New England Granite News Release, we take you to Main Street in the City of Worcester.
We have been extremely fortunate to have been able to network with a company that has been working on infrastructure improvements in Worcester for over a year. Street widening, sidewalk rebuilding and wheelchair access ramp construction are among some of these improvements.
The flip side of these required improvements is that the removal and in many cases the replacement of curbing is necessary to accomplish each improvement. Much of the granite curbing from the downtown area is what we call “Specialty Curbing” because of its unusual measurements. The lengths and risers are not so uncommon but the widths and depths are totally unique to this curbing.
We have rescued:
- 250LF with a combination of 12″, 16″ and 18″ width
tops - All machined tooled, aged and weathered foot worn
smooth tops
As well as curb, this product could also be used to make:
- Specialty benches
- Consistent size wall block – ideal for raised patio
edging or seat wall
