Inventory Update – March 2016
Whether you are currently working on a project, shopping for a project or planning a project… Now is a great time to visit our Reclaimed Granite Superstore. Not only has the weather cooperated and allowed our hardscape projects to continue but it has allowed us to reclaim a nice variety of granite products and fill our yard to capacity.
In this issue, we would like to highlight three products that we are very excited to have just added to our inventory… one of which has been approx. four years since we have had in our yard in any quantity.
The first product that we are excited to feature is the cobblestone lot that we excavated in Lawrence at an old munitions factory. This access road up to and around the building showcased some of the most beautiful original cobblestones from the late 1800s. Due to the need for new utilities to be installed here, the cobblestones needed to be excavated and Olde New England Granite was fortunate enough to be awarded the job to carefully excavate and harvest these cobblestones. These antique cobblestones are regulation size. We have approx. 25,000 available.
The second product that we are excited to feature is our grouping of granite paving squares… and we have a mountain of them. This colorful, multipurpose product has been reclaimed from the slopes that we see when driving under the overpasses all across the state. While the sizes of this product are variable, one side is consistently 12″ wide. The other measurements range from 12″-18″ in length x 4″-6″ thick. These blocks weigh approximately 80 – 120 pounds each. The surface on one side is typically paving quality which lends itself for use in patios, courtyards, walkways, driveway aprons, wall building, slope retention and veneer applications. Thousands are available.
The third product featured is our 1st generation hand split slope curb. We have reclaimed this granite from a western Massachusetts road project. This curbing came out of the ground with very little mortar and plenty of patina. Measurements are approximately 12″ wide x 4″-6″ thick x variable lengths. Due to its paving quality on one side, it lends itself as beautiful antique paving for patios, courtyards, walkways, driveway aprons, driveways, steps, wall building, slope retention, vertical curbing as well as how it was originally used… as slope curb.
These and many other products are in stock and on display at our Granite Superstore. We hope to hear from you or see you soon.
